The kestnergesellschaft, in the heart of Hanover, numbers among the largest and best known Kunstvereinen in Germany. Since the foundation in 1916, it has been our goal to present internationally important artists, both male and female, with their most important works.

free guided tours
For all exhibitions we offer you free guided tours. Our curators convey in a knowledgeable and easily understandable manner an approach to the contemporary positions of the exhibiting artists.
thursdays at 7 pm
saturdays at 3 pm
sundays and holidays at 11 am and 3 pm
wednesdays at 1 pm 30-minute "lunch-break" tour
special guided tours and guided tours for pupils and children
In addition, we offer special guided tours and guided tours for pupils and children. The special guided tours may be booked individually and require a fee. In addition to the respective current exhibitions, it is possible to participate in guided tours on the architecture of the house and on the history of the kestnergesellschaft.
