The Board of Directors and the Board of Trustees of the kestnergesellschaft are comprised of influential representatives of the world of business. Their support of art and the kestnergesellschaft continue the long and outstanding tradition of our founders. The work of the Board of Directors is not only limited to the duties laid down in the association’s charter. Together with the activity of the Board of Trustees, it helps communicate to others the enthusiasm we have for our institution and our program. With their political and social influence, these two committees are important in guaranteeing the continued existence of the kestnergesellschaft. Members of these two committees are helpful counsellors and supporters involved in diverse fields of culture and economy. Thus they represent ideal lobbyists for our institution’s goals and our myriad of approaches to art and its exhibition.
