Belonging to the Board of Directors and the Board of Trustees of the kestnergesellschaft are influential representatives of the world of business who, through their support of art and the kestnergesellschaft, continue the long and outstanding tradition of the founders. The work of the board of directors is not limited to the duties laid down in the association’s charter. It also helps, together with the activity of the Board of Trustees, to communicate to others an enthusiasm for our institution and our program. With their political and social influence, the two committees are important guarantees for the continued existence of the kestnergesellschaft. Their members are helpful counsellors and supporters involved in diverse fields of culture and economy, and thus clearly represent ideal lobbyists for our institution’s goals and myriad approaches to art and its exhibition.
